home_dr_khumriYoga Doctor offers a unique approach to health, combining modern medicine with the ancient practice of yoga therapy. This service is designed and delivered by a UK trained and practising medical doctor.

Yoga therapy is the adaptation of specific yoga postures, breathing exercises and relaxation techniques to treat a range of medical, physical and stress-related conditions.

It is non-invasive, has no side-effects and can be practised safely in conjunction with almost any medical treatment. No previous experience of yoga is required and treatment programmes are tailored to suit any level of fitness and flexibility.

At Yoga Doctor we endeavour to provide an individual, relaxed and professional service using an evidence-based approach. We specialise in one-to-one yoga therapy and small group classes in London and Kochi, tailoring yoga and breathing programmes for each individual’s medical condition, constitution and lifestyle.

In addition we offer yoga classes at the workplace, yoga retreats in India.

In India, yoga is regarded as a science of health and healing. The ancient practice of yoga has been used for centuries to treat a range of illnesses and physical injuries. Its curative as well as preventative value is well recognised and evidence based.

The stress of modern day living unduly strains the heart, creates chronic muscle tension, over stimulates the hormonal and nervous systems and weakens the immunity. The traditional wisdom of yoga provides a holistic approach to managing health and restoring life balance.
